Friends and Family Test July and August 2019

All GP practices are required to publish the responses to the friends and family test.

Our responses are generally too low for the score to be meaningful, but we do take all comments on board.

Online Technology Access Survey

There is an increasing burden that General Practice across the country is under. Great complexity of patient needs, real term funding cuts and rectruitment difficulties have meant that patients are having to wait longer to see their GP.

Online technology offers new opportunities to increase the efficiency of general practice and improve access to patients. This survey (which was also a pilot for a wider Newcastle Gateshead CCG survey) helps us to understand patient preferences in relation to these newer methods.

Friends and Family Test Year to End March 2019

We are required to collect and publish the results of the Friends and Family Test.

Whilst this is actively promoted within the practice through prominent display of the questionnaires and advertising, we find that we receive far more informal feedback and therefore have small numbers of Friends and Family responses.

We publish our results to the NHS main sites and normally publish to this site so patients can easily access results. However, we have fallen behind as a result of developing the new building.

The aggregated scores for the last 12 months are:

Publication of Net Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised and the required
disclosure is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is
potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and
should not be used to for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.

Glenpark Move

The developers have had the sign off required to complete the building. We expect therefore for it to be handed over to us at the end of January.

Assuming everything goes according to plan, this will be the time table for the move.

Monday 4th February

Last day at the old Glenpark. We will be operating as normal on this day, though the focus will be on ensuring that any urgent work is cleared before the move.

Consultation on the Closure of Dunston Health Centre

AS part of the development of the new premises, we are exploring the possibility of merging the two old surgeries into the new building. This document outlines the results of the patient consultation.

Although the formal consultation process has closed, we are still keen to hear any suggestions for the new building or concerns about the proposed merger patients might have.
